GI Partners acquires majority stake in vehicle-tracking firm Otodata
GI Partners has acquired a majority interest in Montreal-based Otodata, while Renovo Capital and management retain minority stakes. Otodata provides remote monitoring and vehicle-tracking solutions, including theft prevention and stolen-vehicle recovery through Tag Tracking.
Otodata launches subscription tank-monitoring service for propane retailers
Otodata has launched TMaaS, a subscription service bundling tank-monitoring hardware, connectivity, analytics, alerts, route optimisation and support. The service aims to help propane retailers expand telemetry, improve forecasting, reduce run-outs and manage deliveries without upfront capital costs.
Propane Levac expands connected tank monitoring across its delivery operation
Canadian LPG retailer Propane Levac monitors about 10,000 customer installations and adds 1,500–2,000 tank monitors annually. Its programme supports delivery scheduling, reduces empty-tank risks and links customer services with its planning and ERP systems.
