Ashok Leyland Increases Investment in EV Arm Switch Mobility
Ashok Leyland has announced a further investment of ₹537 crore in its electric vehicle (EV) arm Switch Mobility, following a previous investment of ₹1,200 crore in November 2023. The company's shareholding in Switch Mobility's holding company, Optare, has increased to 92.59%. The funds will be used for capital investment, research and development, and meeting operational obligations in the UK and India. Switch Mobility aims to extend its presence in India and other emerging regions while offering e-mobility solutions worldwide.
